[5-5-24] I am so back and beyond

Wow, I have not only missed my first week of making an update but, This week has been a HUGE week. Probably THE best week of the entire year. Oh god where to start.

Anonicus.net is proudly hosted on a VPS service

That's right, This site has moved away from Neocities and now is using a VPS to host it on! THIS is actually so exciting for me. Not only this but I kinda like how I'm doing this now. I was gonna use an offline editor but I think I will be using that for testing some things offline. So this means that I'm done with Neocities right? Well, Not quite yet. Neocities is still something I will be using but JUST for making updates so those who have been following me and checking out my website from neocities will be able to still see updates. In the future I might actually start implementing RSS feeds for Blogposts and Art and all of that.

So this VPS is being hosted by Contabo (Not being sponsored but I think it's worth talking), in which they have a plan for just a merely 5.50$ a month out of my pockets, I'm getting a Ryzen EPYC cpu with 6 gb of ram and 400 GB of storage. Yes, you read that correctly, 400GB of storage (technically it's like 370~ gb when you consider the install in the end) but still, THIS is more than enough to run my website til the end. And if you think about it, that's like, 7x more than what Neocities has to offer. It's insane that it's cheap. Just thank you to Dushman on Raccoon.den to show me this service months back, In fact that's what the Owncast uses! but Hooh boy, The possibilities are endless.

I think the last thing I should note here is that I had to manually set it all up except for the Web Manager I use which I will not say just in case if someone wanna sabotage my website. And we don't want that. But yeah, Powered by Nginx B)

I finally cashed my check

So, After what the Deer had done to my car, My car is still drivable but with a dent now (Damn fucking Deers man). However, I got a really tasty paycheck that for the absolute LONGEST time now I was not able to receive it, Until this past week. I finally got it! However, There was an Issue... For some ungodly reason, I could not cash it since it was above 5,000$ for my typical bank (Which is in another state). So, Yesterday I actually went to a Local bank, Made a new account and cashed it there. To our surprise I was able to get my money without it being on Hold! We were impressed to hear that (Me and the banker). So yeah, I celebrated a bit got a few things but for the most part I will later be putting some of it towards my car. I'm just glad this whole mini saga is finally over which speaking of

I got a new job

FINALLY after 5 months of searching, putting into places, crying tears and the constant state of uneasiness as I was not able to be sure if I can get a job while so low on money that I nearly went broke, I got a job that paid even higher than my last. I am sighing in relief writing this, I can now go to work at this place with no worries of my money or anything like this. If anything, We're more than back to normal. Anyways, This job is just me Processing Ham. This job is gonna be VERY cold while working here and like, The job is just really simple looking throughout, I just need to watch my fingers and just do my job. When I went in for my Orientation, I was surprised about how they're not bullshitting about it all. They are about the safety and for a good damn reason too. To not try to fix anything myself, Just stand back as a mechanic comes over the fix it. It is a bit of a dangerous job actually compared to the rest as there could be a possibility that if I do something very wrong, I could get hurt or even lose some fingers. Yeah I know, Then I would probably just retire but without a hand or something. But I will make sure that will never happen!

Guitar practice back on the menu!

I think for the last one I will be placing here is that I have been practicing guitar! Yes, Idk if you remember but, I got a Guitar back in September and for a while there I was using it but I switched my room around and proceeded to not be able to play it much since. However, This past week I have been practicing Guitar once again and I've actually been using an App to do it! I think how I've been learning was A LOT better than what I was doing prior. It's through the Gibson App and it's been working well. I have been managing to practice even more beyond what they offer by learning how to play some single string songs like the Pokemon Center theme or Eternal Wind from Final Fantasy III (tbh I kinda wanted to play that one because of Shadowbringers from FFXIV...) But yeah. Really fun! I have not practiced for like 2 days because apparently the app had like a 24 hour thing and yesterday I was quite busy with other things that I wasn't able to practice X_X
